Kwai Chung (葵涌) is a larger area to the East of Tsuen Wan in West Kowloon. The Southern part of Kwai Chung is mainly a commercial cargo handling area known for its container port - the Kwai Chung container terminal which is considered one of the largest (approximately 280 hectares in size) and busiest port facilities in the world. More recently, Kwai Chung has been the topic of discussions about potentially repurposing some of the areas in Kwai Chung for both residential and commercial uses. Also in the area is Kwai Chung Plaza a private residential housing estate and shopping centre conveniently located beside the Kwai Fong station.
