Located on an island across from the Kwai Chung container terminal, in days gone by, Tsing Yi (青衣) island was predominantly an industrial area featuring shipbuilding businesses, oil depots and power plants. After the addition of several more bridges connecting the island and the completion of further road networks and transport links in and around Tsing Yi, residential property development (and prices) in the area gained momentum and it wasn't long before it became a popular and vibrant place to live. Now served by the Airport Express, Tsing Yi offers a convenient link to the Hong Kong International airport (approximately 14 minutes). Notable places of interest include Maritime Square, Tsing Yi Park, many natural walking trails.
