Tai Koo

Tai Koo (太古城) is the name given to the popular and predominantly private residential area that is more formally known as Taikoo Shing Estate in the Eastern part of Hong Kong Island near Quarry Bay. Taikoo Shing is a well-known housing estate that is particularly sought after by real estate investors due to its great shopping, convenient transport connections and a wide variety of dining and entertainment facilities that add to its overall high quality of living. Tai Koo offers a large number of houses for residents with Terrace Mansions (6) and the more expensive Terrace Gardens (2) all of which have distinctive names. Other notable buildings in the area include Taikoo Place - a commercial business hub and office complex, the Cityplaza retail & office complex, EAST - a lifestyle business hotel.
