So Kwun Wat

So Kwun Wat (掃管笏) is one of the most beautiful areas in Tuen Mun District, Western New Territories. It's an idyllic retreat with palm trees and a beautiful marina that is often filled with large superyachts. So Kwun Wat is home to the highly regarded Harrow International School. Transport is convenient too, with So Kwun Wat being 30 minutes to Central by taxi, and 25 mins from both Hong Kong International Airport and Tsim Sha Tsui, depending on where you are coming from. So Kwun Wat's connectivity is set to get better in time with the newly constructed Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Link (TM-CLKL) underwater highway. Once completed, the highway will offer an alternative route to the Airport as well as North Lantau, and eventually, provide connections through to the Zhuhai – Macao Bridge (HZMB). Notable attractions in the area include the 500m long Golden Beach, where you will most likely find locals playing a game of volleyball on the golden beach sand. No different to its Aussie namesake, with nice restaurants, hotels, shopping malls, the relaxing leisure lifestyle and tropical beaches - it's clear why this magical spot is also known as Hong Kong's Gold Coast.
